Hi all,

I've been thinking that an FPGA coupled with a large amount of high speed statc RAM could produce a pretty nice logic analyzer. Has anyone done a project like that? Is there any information here on this site concerning such a thing?

If it were constrained to digital signals, then the front end sampling hardware wouldn't have to be as complicated as a Flashy (said he, having not the slightest idea of how to do it). I'm a software type so I don't know how to design the analog front ends necessary for an oscilliscope or logic analyser. But I'm sure that there are people here on this site that do.

Has anyone done any work on a project like this?
