Advice on Altera Max II development boards

Postby spreader » Mon Dec 29, 2008 3:46 pm

I'm new to FPGAs but I would like to develop projects based on Altera MaxII cplds, probably the 570 and 1270 (tqfp package) chips but can't find a good source of suitable boards. I need a development board that can program a mini-module with the module removable to use in a prototype board. As far as I can see, no suitable board is available, or is this not the case? :?

I know this post is kinda old with no reply. I don't look at the fourms here as much these days.

Terasic makes most of Altera's dev and eval boards. They have a nice MAX II board that is pretty cheap. Unfortinately I havent seen a dev kit where the device is on a removeable module, but if you need to hook it to a prototype board, most if not all of the io is avaliable you just need headers, and then just connect to the proto board using hookup wire.

Here is the direct link:

Hope that helps. :)
