Xilinx equivalent of GPIO

Postby alexey » Sun Mar 28, 2010 8:29 pm

Hi all,

I just ordered the Spartan 3e starter board from Digilent and for a project need to convert an Altera design into Xilinx. I know on Altera, the IDE looking port is the GPIO. What is the Xilinx equivalent of Altera's GPIO? Can the PMOD pins be used as GPIO? Or the FX2 connector?

Thanks.

Yes on both of your questions. You should find the information about the mapping of the FPGA pins to the connector pins in the schematics of the 3e kit.
