Hi everyone,
I am generating core of block Ram using core generator. i need to initlize it with a .coe file. I dont know how to make that file and what is the format of that particular file. is there any other way to init the memory.

Look in the $XILINX/coregen/data directory, where $XILINX is the directory where ISE is installed. There are many examples of COE files there.
