korenje's pcb

I am building a new pcb with spartan 3e - XC3S1600E ball array, eeprom XCF08P ball array. Now I'll use only 1,2 for fpga core; 1,8 for i/o, eeprom and ddram, 2,5V for jtag.

Anyway I am having trouble at understanding this fpga. Does spartan have any frequency multiplayers integrated, or do I need to use some chip to make desired frequency of 400 Mhz? I was thinking about using cdcu877 chip, but I don't think I can buy 1 or 2 pieces of that.

anyway, what should I use to acheive 400 Mhz, also what clock for further use on vga, hdmi or similar?

also I am planning to add 2 chips with 4 24bit adc inputs on pcb and real time clock chip.

the project is to control some process on hi-res lcd with touchscreen.

This helped a lot when I was figuring out the Spartan3 DCM...

great. that's all I needed to know, that fpga can multiply clock internally. that saves me a lot of trouble in pcb design.

Can internal oscillator of XCFxxP (clkout pin) be used to drive fpga? also what frequency is it working on?
