.rbf files won't configure SAXO-L with Quartus 9.1 or 9.1sp1

Postby bwalton » Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:01 pm

This is a solved problem description. My SAXO-L FPGA used to be able to be configured from .rbf files generated from Quartus (version 9.0?). After updating Quartus, the config's failed, except that the sample .rbf's (like ledglow1) would still configure OK. The problem, after a fair bit of messing around, turned out to be that FPGAconf needed to also be upgraded from version 2.11.0 to 2.12.02. Now config's work fine. I accomplished this upgrade by reloading the support files from the email I got when I bought my SAXO-L.

Yes, Altera made some changes into their Quartus software that required an update in FPGAconf.

Ouch, just installed latest Quartus 9.1, because my old Quartus 6.0 sp1 license expired!

I have old Xylo-EM board, and I think I have same problem as bwalton. Problem is that I brought the board in 2007 and so can't obtain the new working FPGAconf :(. The version I'm using is 2.04.06.

Who to contact to get latest config program, please?
