SAXO-L Schematic

Dear Fpga4Fun,

I am going to purchasing the SAXO-L board for one of my pilot project and will appreciate if you can clear some of my enquiries:

1) The SAXO-L board has 40 IOs available on the board. Are these 40 IOs directly connected to the FPGA or to the ARM or mixed? If mixed IOs, can I know how many IOs are available from the FPGA and ARM.

2) Does the SAXO-L package comes with a copy of the board schematic drawing with the pin layout? That is, how do I know which pin to interface on the board?

Hope to hear from you soon.

There is no schematic in the doc, instead there is the layout of the board, see chapter 37.3 of the doc
http://www.knjn.com/docs/KNJN%20FX2%20FPGA%20boards.pdf

The pins labeled P0.x and P1.x are the ones for the ARM, and the other are the ones for the FPGA.

Thank you very much for your reply.

While looking at the board layout, I noticed that P0.4 is missing. Is it used elsewhere or how do I use P0.4 (SCK0) if I wanted to use the other SPI interface?

The first SPI interface is not available (including P0-4) due to the small size of the board.
The second SPI interface is available to an header and also the FPGA, as can be see in chapter 11.1 of this doc
