Pluto I no boot-rom what's the disadvantage -how to overcome

Postby karshant » Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:16 am

Hi,

I want to do some experiments like Ethernet 10 base T with Pluto I. This board does not have any boot-prom. So, Please let me know if I download my code to Pluto I board and power off and after that I power on, does it come up with full functionality or each time I power on, I need to program the board from PC. Please let me know the advantage of having a boot-rom in the board. Also let me know if I am not having a boot-rom how I can program so that the board will retain functionality after it is switched off.

Thanks and regard,
-shantanu
