Change to bigger Cyclone FPGA for Saxo-L

Postby bresleylim » Tue Mar 02, 2010 6:09 am

Hi fpga4fun,

We got a few of the Saxo-L boards and the current capacity as well as the I/Os pins of the cyclone-I is not enough for us to use in our design. Is it possible to contact you to redesign the Saxo-L boards with a bigger capacity Cyclone FPGA. We are using the ARM LPC2318 also. We are looking at min 20pcs.

Regards
Bresley

What FPGA do you have in mind?

Also why not use a Xylo-L - it has a bigger FPGA and more IOs.

We have the Quartus License. Most of our projects are based on tools from Altera also. It would be hard to change to Xilinx. We are looking at Cyclone II or Cyclone III FPGAs with 5~6 times more density than the present Cyclone I used on the Saxo-L boards. We would need about 2x more I/O pins available for use too.

Ok, I suggest that you make a list of your wishes and send that to KNJN, so that they take it into account for their next FPGA board.
