UDP packets/ARP entries on Vista

Postby fpga4fun » Mon Mar 17, 2008 11:11 am

It seems that Vista has trouble with UDP packets or ARP entries.
I know that on XP, I have to use the ARP -s command to add an ARP entry with the MAC address of the destination board before XP sends the packets.

With Vista, UDP packets are just never sent (they are received fine).
Anyone has a clue about what is going on?

I actually got it working by
1. disabling my wireless connection and using only my wired connection
2. opening an administrator command line prompt to issue the ARP command
