Dragon I/O Count

Postby key » Sun Jan 16, 2005 9:55 pm

Hi,

I am considering using a Dragon board for an upcoming project. Here's a quick question about the board.

How many I/O's are available and how many remain available when the PCI interface is used?

I know the website lists I/O counts for the Pluto boards, but I was unable to find I/O information for the Dragon.

Thank you.

Dragon has about 78 IOs but a few are reserved for PCI.
When PCI isn't used, you have about 60 IOs.
When PCI is used, you have about 30 IOs.

60-30 = 30

The PCI spec says that minimum PCI pin count is 45 pins?
What is missing on the dragon?

The reason the maths don't quite add up is that some pins are lost when PCI is not used (these pins are connected only to the PCI connector)
